AMD still can't write Linux drivers for ****, so I'd still pick "whichever GeForce I can afford"

    I feel so baited in here. I feel like I shouldn't comment, but....I can't....help it >_<

If I were buying right now and I didn't just recently buy a 290X/there were no more 290X/290 models that I like in stock anywhere, I would probably get the 390X. But, I'd also consider waiting a little longer for prices to drop and get one of the Fury models.

Either way, I wouldn't be buying anything from Nvidia as I prefer Amd as a company. It's not a fanboy thing, I've owned Nvidia gpu's before. But I just think Amd are less anti-competative/anti-consumer, and so I prefer to buy from them. I like their products too, I should add

Basically the same here, having just got a 290x cheap I wouldn't buy any, the 390x would be the quickest to fall into my price range, as with above unless nvidia have a clear advantage at the price point I am looking at I will take the AMD card every time.

Re: QOTW: Which enthusiast GPU would you choose?

Considering relatively equal pricing and relatively equal performance, for me the deciding factor would be which unit had the best drivers for my needs at the time of purchase. If it were today, I'd probably give the nod to Nvidia, mainly because they have historically had better Linux drivers, and Maxwell is the newer architecture. 6 months from now, sometime after Christmas (when I'm considering making an actual purchase), things may change entirely. I want a card that, once I purchase it, I can expect at least 5 years of solid use in the mid-high/high end - especially for a potential $500-600 purchase.

The TitanX would be tempting, but I would have to go with AMD, so the FuryX would be my choice. AMD have simply done a lot more for the industry and I think thats worth supporting.

The Fury (non x) looks quite interesting and I do prefer AMD as a company with regards to the consumer. I too recently purchased a 290x for cheap so will be waiting for the next roll out
The more one seeks, the more one finds and so you realise there is a lot more to be found.

titan x... not so much for gaming though, I'd be using it for gpu rendering and it is up there with the quadro m6000 which costs more than 4x the price. That 12GB of memory should make it last a fair while too

A 980 Ti for me, can't be bothered with Nvidia's stunningly overpriced titan cards. I'm not a fanboy either, my current card is a GTX970 and my previous card was an HD 5870.

Assuming budget is not an issue then I would pick a 980Ti as I have a G-Sync monitor.

I just upgraded my Titan Black for a Titan X. so now my second machine has 2 Titan Blacks in SLI. Bot systems are running G-Sync monitors. Before the Titan Black I had two HD7970's in crossfire.

As someone not doing much gaming, I don't think I would buy an "enthusiast" GPU. Not for value for money for me.

Still have my R9 270, but I think it's time for an upgrade.
