Stupid question - can the face-recognition tell the difference between you and a photo of you? - I take it that's why they need the 3D/depth camera to be available. On the other hand, how easy is it to fool?

Article does say:
Quote:
Infrared, RGB Colour and 3D
so I'm assuming that photo's won't work (3D camera will pick that up) and the IR camera will take care of smart alecs who try and use a bust/statue.

IIRC its similar to how the kinect uses the IR part of its camera to pick up slight pulses in your skin to detect whether your live or a static image is being used.

Put a photo of their face on a balloon and slightly increase/decrease the pressure to simulate skin pulse? :)
