It looks like a douchebag teenage Darth Vader
Obviously the styling needs little comment. :ill:
Is that a hard drive hot-swap bay in the 2nd 5.25" slot? That would be a welcome addition to a consumer system... unless it's pre-occupied of course! I've no idea what the slot under the USB ports either.
Clearly the RAM is stupid given the target audience, and horribly unbalanced, but at least it's too much rather than too little as is the norm. I assume it's customisable with lower amounts anyway.
The front case looks ugly to me -my opinion thooo~~
I actually quite like the case. It's a welcome change from the plain black boxes we all seem to be using these days, I say this whilst looking down at my plain black box 650D. It's pretty aggressive, and I wonder long those pull down port covers will last.
As for the spec, nothing the average gamer or pro gamer will run is going to require 64 gigs of ram. Seems that money could have been spent on a GTX 980 ti as opposed to a vanilla 980.
too much, front should be stright and maybe it would be ok then
I also quite like the case, but I wish it didn't say "Predator" on it.
HATE tacky, pointless stuff that gets added onto tech to make it 'gaming' gear. A decent case is ruined.
Looks like it would be difficult to carry, which given the value of its contents seems a daft idea.
Yeah likewise I was reading at first all and thought hmm interesting then got to the 980 and thought WTF! especially when they recommend one of their own 4K monitors as that GPU does have the power to have playable FPS at 4K as you say they would have been better going with 32GB or DDR4/DDR3 and a 980Ti
"belligerent armour" apparently ineffective against an ugly stick.
Yes but most average or pro gamers would build their own PC or buy from a boutique brand, so these are really aimed at the "plays games but has zero technical knowledge" crowd, and in that market (lets call it the "PC World" market, Acer's core territory) all your key epeen numbers of GB/GHz just need to be BIG, the presence or not of a sublte T and i are details Acer assume would be missed, the 9, 8 and 0 are there and that's what matters. PC manufacturer marketing at it's most unhelpful.
Pretty sure the 64gb ram is a typo, the editors state state "upto" 64gb.
My first "gaming pc" was an acer predator and the temps were crazy high. This one looks like the cooling will be non-existent too
Yes, 64GB of DDR4 is expensive to say the least at the moment.
Edit: But then again, Tom's hardware also says 64GB.

Maybe it's 2133mhz?
