Ark Survival Evolved... looks to be a pretty decent game from the short free weekend trial I had, but it desperately needs lots of optimization.
Deffo want to get Rocket League!!!

Strangely enough I do not any of those games despite my huge steam library :P
I've got my eye on 3 of them though - and I'll be sure to get them on a steam sale!
Re: Six 2015 games have sold over a million copies on Steam this year
I have two of them, GTA5 which was the first game I have bought new since 2012 and Cities Skylines which I picked up in the summer sale for not very much of a discount. Ark and besieged were on my steam wish list but Ark turned out to be a multiplayer focused game, which i'm not at all into and I just lost interest in Besieged. The next games' I really want is Mad Max and Just Cause 3, but they will have to wait for a big discount as I now need to sink a load of dosh into renovating a house.
Also, H1Z1 was on my radar but did the developers not abandon it or something ?

Must admit at the moment I am loving Mad Max, working silky smoot on my now ageing rig which just to say meets minimum.

Do it.
Possibly the most "oh just one more go" game I've played in my life.
Simple to pick up, hard to master - with some joyous moments of fluke/skill on the way.

Besiege and Rocket League both look like tons of fun, but I've got like 50 other games I haven't played yet, so I'll pass :(.

lol, I know that feeling - I've probably got 3x that many unplayed games... damn those steam sales!!! lol
Can't help myself, keep buying games I 'want', but don't 'need' ;)

so according to that site 1.7 million people are prepared to pay £14.99 to beta test H1Z1 when it's coming out as a free to play game :shocked2:

Not sure how I feel about half of the games being early access, while it's good to see games that may never have been developed if it wasn't for early access, it also seems a rather damning indictment of the current state of games development.

It does suggest that many gamers are keen/desperate for something different from the offerings of the major studio's/devs/publishers... so many indie games, and so many game types that are quite a long way from mainstream.
Ark seems to have great potential, but with so many survival games on the market it needs to be very polished when it does eventually make a full release. At the moment it run 'ok' on my i3 with R7-260x, but runs very poorly on my i7 laptop with a low-mid range GFX chipset. Many of my friends with a very broad range of hardware have mixed results... it needs a lot of finishing, which is fine as it is early access.
What drives ppl to play unfinished games in preference to the many games that are polished/finished and quite often fairly cheap once they've been out for a while?
