    Well that's one way to boost sales. No more enjoying your CPU for 5-10 years. They kill it after 3. Intel don't even need to bother rolling out incremental increases then!

    Everyone is having enough trouble fabricating chips on bulk silicon. Don't go expecting your CPU to be built on tempered glass anytime soon! This will probably be confined to super-niche applications like a handful of kilobytes of storage for an encryption key.
