Youtube red....I can't see a google search for that EVER going wrong.
That is a rather odd name to go with....especially considering their content is videos....
Perhaps they are hoping there will be a lot of erroneous signups....

I like twitch but the site and video coding is junk, they need to sort this asap. I unsupported the few I had after a while due to the poor site and streams. They just feel like a low rank start up at times, the recent hearthstone expansion stream was a pure joke.
That still seems like a long time to wait for Twitch to switch to HTML5. Surely before the end of this year would make much more sense?
As for YouTube's ad-free subscription, although some (such as that Re/Code reporter) might think of it as being too low of a price, I think it's probably the sweet spot that would be the maximum a lot of people would see as being worth it.
Mainly as it is bound to get compared to other video subscription services and the fact that most videos on YouTube are accessible for free anyway so wouldn't be justifiable to pay a higher price "just" for ad removal.

Not to be confused with Redtube - which is a porn site.
Surely the subscription fee is shared among the channels/content creators you actually watch? I think a subscription service is a good idea but I won't be signing up if all the money just goes to the pockets of big record labels. Plus, why should their views receive more money than views on other channels?
Fixed it.
