This will be fantastic for Watching movies and the internet and such, on the go, on holiday, overnight stays etc. Not too excesive in terms of weight and bulk, except for the curved stand for no-so-ease of packing, which might be a bit tricky.
Hmm. 4K screens on 12" tablets, 1080p screens on 18" tablets. Makes sense.
ohhhhh and they forgot to put in an nvidia just like how Microsoft did with the new surface.............
If you mean that they used an Exynos rather than Tegra processor then I'm sure that Samsung prefer to use something in-house, and I can't see a big driver to use X1 for this. On the other hand, if you're talking about a discrete NVidia GPU (which I don't think you are) then ... seriously!?
I'm left wondering what the point of this behemoth is - it's "portable" but that large a screen doesn't exactly strike me as "easy to carry around", plus I'm very sure it's not designed for lap or holding. I'm absolutely convinced that a smaller-screened laptop would be a better buy. Small kudos to Samsung for again trying to create a new niche, but I think this one is a dead-end.
Wow, samsung releases a portable TV.
No OLED screen?
Android - what a waste , windows on this with a keyboard dock would be amazing.
Because it is only a android device it makes sense, should be able to cope with the android games even though it has been set up for video.
The other Hexus article on this mentioned streaming TV, at this size I wonder if they thought of including a TV tuner (it is almost big enough to be a TV :-) )
If they had set it up for windows instead, then for more intensive gaming a dedicated graphics would have been nice (plus it would have been noticeably more expensive with the other associated hardware).
It is one big mother of a android tablet though, not sure who they are targeting with this, but given the right circumstances, it could be a seller (at least for those who want the biggest android screen bragging rights).
I got all excited and then noticed it was an android device.
