Regarding the Apple-esque styling, it sure looks like it has took styling hints, with the rounded edges. But can we please just accept that it's just a plastic and metal slab, we really are running out of designs!
No-one (I think) banged on about lines running across the back of the iPhone 6 which the HTC One M7 had. (They are used for the aerials and are necessary so the metal doesn't turn into a sort of Faraday cage!) But we never heard how Apple took 'styling' hints from HTC.
Re- One A9. Looks smart. Bit pricey but it's a very pretty phone. Very interesting that HTC have decided to use AMOLED all of a sudden. Perhaps a trial run in preparation for the One M10? Also, the finger print sensor looks like the swipe version as opposed to the press and hold version, which is a shame.

Edit: no there's five listed, I was right the first time: Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Deep Garnet and Topaz Gold AND Acid Gold, as featured in the video. That leaves only the Cast Iron version not confirmed.
That pricing should be illegal. $399 for the decent configuration, translates to £310 in the UK, including VAT. £429 for the lesser config is just taking the proverbial.

As for the 'looks like an iPhone' bits. No one raised the same issue with the iPhone 6 when Apple released it.... HTC had done it before them with the htc one, but then HTC isn't the wet dream of most tech sites like Apple seems to be. Having said that it does have a few bits which scream iPhone.... although it also has a look of some of HTC's older plastic models. I will say HTC's plastic lines are much nicer than Apples though :)

This is one phone I won't be buying, the UK is clearly being ripped off on the price, $399 = £268,and with 20% tax makes it £321 and they want £429 for a lower spec, that's criminal, perhaps they are imitating Apple on the price front as well!
Also why such a small battery, the new Redmi Note 3 packs a 4000mAh battery and similar spec but no SD card slot.
