I still pick up BF4 from time to time. It did evolve into a decent game and they put a lot of extra features into it, even for those who were not season pass buyers. It was a mess for a really really long time though.
Hardline didn't feel like enough of a game for me to buy and Battlefront certainly doesn't look like good value though so I will be approaching future titles with a lot more skepticism than I did BF4.
Heres hoping for more connections to BF2142, I loved that game.
I still play BF3/4 - '4 especially is head-and-shoulders better for campaign mode than the equivalent CoD's. Actually now I think of it BF3 was also better for us non-onliners than CoD was.
I'm going to echo ik9000 ... I'm not even going to consider it if it doesn't have an "offline" mode.
Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...
They still haven't fixed all the bugs in BF4.....although most are now gone after an unbelievable number of patches over the last 2 years.
TBH, I think EA have destroyed DICEs little franchise. No one I know purchased Hardline and a whole _one_ person on my friends list has purchased Battlefront.
I ain't holding much luck for BuggyField 5.

Hate EA and hate their money grabbing microtransactions. I want to buy a game, one complete game. Not build it up bit by bit.
