All credit to them, that is a truly beautiful looking game. If it plays even half as well it deserves support.
Origin? Sorry I will pass...
Make it available in steam and gog and we are talking (and keep it in origin too I don't mind)
Unfortunately I'm the same. I don't even play the gree ganes on Origin, so there's no chance of me buying them, ironic considering I use Steam drm, I duppose I trust them more.
I'll give them credit though, as already said, the game looks beautiful. Never thought I'd like an EA game again.
The problem is, they've spent so many years pissing on their paying customers, its such an uphill struggle trying to change that image,
I saw this last week on origin and immediately searched steam hoping to see it but alas no, nowt to be found. I really wish EA would put there entire catalogue on steam instead of cherry picking the best stuff for origin only.
I dont really see the issue with Origin. Unless I have missed something?
Jon
My only issue is if EA decide they don't want to do it anymore, what then happens with the money i've spent on my origin library ? Origin feels very enclosed because of its tiny library, I just don't feel like I can trust EA not to shut it down in a few years, as MS did with GFWL !
The issue is that it is available only in origin, I don't want my library scattered in many fronts because some companies can't get over their egos and make it available in others stores.
imho this is stupid to begin with, I have skipped EA games that I would love to play because it was not available in steam, what harm could be done if EA had it available in steam as well? Yeah ok they will not take all the price for themselves, but in the end it is a small price to be paid for satisfied customers, it is a big inconvenience to give us only one option to buy this game and lock it in their platform only.
I was the same until I got an email from the Equifax personal data monitoring system. Origin have allowed my Email, password, card details and address to be stolen no fewer than 5 times in the past 2 years. They found the data on some dodgy Russian websites that clearly trade in origin data.
I have now uninstalled and deleted my account despite having £250+ in games on there.
That's a shame, I also used that service in the past and never had any alerts despite being a Origin member pretty much since it launched.
I am not a Origin lover by any means just wondered why people were so against it. Though you could argue that one day Steam might decide just to shut down and think of all the games that would be lost then.
Personally Origin does what its supposed to, it launches games :/

I saw it on one of the CES videos from earlier this year....it was the most interesting looking title of the whole event for me.

Saw this and said. Another game on my wishlist.
