Emm,WTF?? I really hope the PC version has TressFX though and Nvidia have not substituted Hairworks in the PC versions,as the newest versions of TressFX have had massive performance improvements over the first version,as indicated by the fact it runs fine on the consoles. Hairworks is more of a hardware hog in comparison.

"The game has already been available on consoles such as the Xbox One and PS4 for a number of months"

Erm, no it hasn't. It's been Xbox exclusive, you can't buy it on PS4 yet.

"According to the news source the GTX970, GTX980, GTX980Ti desktop GPUs, and computers powered by the GTX 970M, GTX 980M and GTX 980 graphics "

    Remove the last 4 words:

    "and GTX 980 graphics"

Re: Nvidia to bundle Rise of the Tomb Raider from Thursday 7th Jan

yeah, I think there should be an "M" at the end of the last 980, and SCREW THAT! would`ve been happy to see a GTX 960 support, even a 950, but noooooooooooooo...kinda pissed off, I guess that`s the way of telling us that the game will be OP in terms of performance, AMD will bundle this too, and man I would`ve wanted to buy a GTX 950 ;(

is this gonna be the ONLY game on offer as a bundle option for the gtx 970? not that i'm too bothered it would just be nice to have a choice of at least two, like they did with the Bullets or Blades bundle

XB1 versions are supposedly using TressFX, but I don't suppose that would stop it being ripped out and replaced with something else for the PC if they were given enough incentive.

The best of both worlds apparently? This new still confuses me if anything. As long as its not GameWorks, I'm perfectly fine with that.

I believe the PS4 has it too - just not so enthused on Hairworks in its current state. A mate at work has a GTX960,like me,and Hairworks does hog performance on less powerful cards(He was running W3). TressFX seems to have gotten a bit more efficient in comparison.

Hairworks does seem to work better on AMD cards, where you can limit the tessellation to something sensible.

Annoyed I only had the choice between AC Syndicate and R6 Siege, both on uPlay, when I got my 980. Chose AC and played about 90 mins of it and not bothered since. Would have loved JC or ROTTR..
