Re: Origin Access $4.99/£3.99 PC game subscriptions announced by EA
Ideal if you're new to PC gaming, same as for if you're new to Xbox for that one. I'd probably by a Year if it was priced at £20 to be fair. Think of it as a game renting service, you couldn't have rented all the games in the vault for £3.99 a month even when Blockbuster was still a thing :p

Surely that is a cracking deal? I know the PC vault isn't quite there yet and it is more expensive but still it is great value IMHO.
I've got to agree with you there - despite not having the EA Access service on my (new!) XBone - maybe I should consider it, certainly at <£20/yr that's a bargain for BF4, NFS, etc (not bothered in the slightest about the US sports titles though). :)
The PC version though isn't that impressive, all the Vault titles that I'd want I've already got...

Personally, I'd stick with Netflix unless you already have Prime. The major problem with Instant Video (other than the fact that it was glacially slow for me) is that it's not a Netflix-style "all you can eat". When I tried it, you got a few titles included but invariably all the "good stuff" was rental only, and the rental cost was more than Virgin charge. Which made me wonder why it was a "feature" of Prime that Amazon figure people can use to justify the fairly large price hike it had over the old shipping-only subscription. Upside of not having Prime is that it discourages impulse buying! :D

I would rather the spotify model and spend £20 a month that lets me download and play any EA origin game in the library for free.
