£100 for a desktop is not a bad price regardless of what it is. It's specs are more than enough for a media center.
DOUBLE CLAP FOR NC01U with Intel Celeron 3205U CPU, with RRP of £109
Add a couple of SODIMMs and some storage and you'll soon be pushing £200 even with the Celeron version, before you consider OS. It's not necessarily bad value at that point, but it's not better than a lot of desktop PCs that are readily available from popular etailers...
I tried dual channell memory for 4k playback,it doesnt even play 1080p well.I bought a cheap 4k capable itx video card, and i really enjoy it.
Decent price but by the time you addup the extras you could pick up a acer revo for less
From the picture it looks as though there is a blower fan lurking under the hood. That ruins it for me as an HTPC. But still an nice design
Nice design - something I don't mind seeing under a TV - however a lot of NUC are made so that they can be mounted behind a TV/monitor so that doesn't matter too much.
I'm more keen on a NUC that have a dual ethernet port though - would be a router for my home. I know you could get a NUC with 5 ports from mini-itx.com site but it's paired with an older Atom CPU whereas I'll rather have a Celeron.
