    Snide remarks aside, I do hope they have better luck with SSDs than with HDDs.

    Weeks? Hahaha! My fastest failing drive was a Seagate that failed in 12 DAYS! (I am strangely proud of this. Go figure.)

    Latest witnessed failure of a Seagate drive was a couple of weeks ago at work. And fail spectacularly it did. Luckily it was part of a RAID setup so no data was lost. We switched the whole array to WD drives, just to be safe.

    HDDs are a lottery. I bought 5 of the exact same model 8 yrs ago. 1 died after 6months and the rest and still going fine.
