But if you Spent Millions on new Graphic techniques like FXAA and so on you would want it closed until it was standard in every Games engine out there or until you have develop a new AA technique. So all I can say is Carry on.

Also apart from that when was the last time AMD release a New AA technique which was back in 2012 AMD EQAA.
NVidia has release since then HBAO+ TXAA and more recently Multi-Frame Anti-Aliasing and a list goes on

So if you want to experience better graphics and lighting NVidia can spend as much as they like on R&D. ITS closed to AMD GPUs it fine with me as they didn't research it.
If AMD wants it so badly they could offer to pay NVidia to have access
Welcome back to Hexus - we do like people to do a bit of research sometimes before answering, though we all get things wrong from time to time - I certainly do!

AMD created things like tressFX and released that for everyone to use and take advantage of. Global illumination, forward rendering etc. could also be included. Then we could talk about Mantle, resulting in Vulkan and providing a big push for DX12 - kind of handy no?

But since you talk of AA, do you know where FXAA comes from? AMD's morphological AA, or MLAA.

Unlike nVidia, when AMD do research things, they always do get released.

Surprised you support gameworks so much as it also borks performance on older nvidia GPUs... like the 780ti...

We should all be choosing games based on their value to us as individuals, and what makes up that value will differ from person to person.
That would be fine if they actual knew what an individual didn't buy a game, unfortunately Gameworks would probably be last on the list of a developers "why didn't people buy my game" list, especially as including Gameworks doesn't exclude the game from being played on other GPUs.

Devs read their own forums. A polite 'nice game, but I won't be playing due to Gameworks' is all it takes, backed up by not playing the game.

*grins* oh we all love doing that, but it doesn't work unless it's done with things that are correct

Are you suggesting game developers would deliberately sabotage the performance of their own games?

Sadly, some do. But they either sabotage it for a minority or because it results in a gain elsewhere.

In a few months when AMD have gone bust (and let's face it, the writing's on the wall), none of this will matter. There will only be one major GPU vendor and one major CPU vendor. They can then go as proprietary as they want.

And in a few months when they haven't, what will you say then?

Maybe go read a little into Nvidia's use of Gameworks.
