Can't wait to see the reviews. As others have said we need this to sell well, if only to bring more competition to the market.

Two things HTC are doing right in the US are the one year free screen repair and the $100 off code bringing the price from $699 to $599. Don't know if this is available in the UK tho'.

A similar code is available in the UK. Use HTC 10 to get 10% off.

Been over a whole year since the HTC One M9... that's actually surprising considering the rate they're throwing these smartphones onto the market these days.

I'd kind of disagree unless by "high end phone makers" you mean those blessed (extreme sarcasm) manufacturers who seem to always be the focus of the tech press - I get mightily teed off by continually seeing lazy journo's who do a "review" and then basically say that this feature or that is worse than the equivalent Samsung or iPhone (which is chosen depending on which journo is writing the review).

As to the HTC 10, it's too expensive for me - without a "gotta have" - then I'd either plump up the few extra GBP's for an S7 Edge (the normal S7 is ugly) or save some money and go for the LG G5. At the moment I'm doing neither, instead preferring to wait to see what Autumn brings.

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...
