nVidia are the masters of talking about products that 'exist' but you can't buy, that's true. But for the purposes of comparison, what use is a card you can't buy?

You can sort of buy one, if you're willing to part with $130,000 you could buy the DGX-1, although that's maybe a bit of an expensive way to get your hand on a single card, i wonder how much the other bits of the server would fetch on EBay.

What use? I guess fufilling big buck HPC contracts like this for a start!

As corky says, you can order a DGX-1 if you have $130,000 burning a hole in your pocket, which gets you eight of them.

Piz Daint alone will use 4500 P100's, that is a nice pay day right there.

Ah but can you use the P100 from the DGX-1 in another computer or do you need a special connector?

You could buy 44~ of these for the price of single IBM node with 8xNvidia GPU's.

it will be a blind date to go for p100 before AMD launches their beast of a compute card on the new Polaris architecture...who does not know AMD has been beating Nvidia in compute performance since time memorial?? remember the S10,000?
