I am waiting to see what the replacement for the Titan X will be, hopefully HBM2 and fully unlocked with at least 12GB

Hopefully capable of 4k gaming without SLI.
Definitely a huge price.
I expect it to be 10% better than last generation, it will have new overhyped words on the box that doesnt really do anything new on a practical level, and the price will go up slightly once again for no particular reason.
Really wish a game changer would come along in most of the computer hardware categories, too many updates of old tech these past few years.
An incremental upgrade to the 980Ti with few GPUs in stock which will mean a massive price hike that won't go down for quite a while.
I just want to see two cards. The first being a killer price to performance for 1080p or 1440p much like the 970. Then I want to see an absolute gaming beast, crushing 4k and doubling titan x performance. Although that second one may be far off.
I'm expecting that unless there is at least a 15% increase over my MSI R9 390 I'll be keeping the card another year before upgrading.
Which is a shame as I would like to go back to team green.
Expensive, very expensive with a low percentage improvement.
will be very expensive and lack on hbm2 not sure if worth buyng it
Having been watching the graphics card market for a few months there does seem to have been a small steady increase in prices overall rather than a steady fall.
Therefore my hope (not expectation) is that a if a GTX 1080ti is a noticeable improvement over the current higher end cards then prices of the older cards will tumble. 950's well under £100, 960's around the £100 and 970's around £200 is where they should be realistically priced.
Unless they beat their current topend card with at least 75% in performance + speed I might buy, but really not interested in a watered down product if any if not the case.
Been using Nvidia cards for quite a while... but also I did use to use Ati cards as well back in the day, maybe all this new hocus pocus will make me go back to Ati, they also have the better experience with HBM vs Nvidia.
Min 60fps on 4k would be nice for majority of new titles and also quite interested in machine learning capabilities. Not sure if it's worth holding off for a few months as last year the 980Ti was on par with a Titan for nearly half the price??
I think that if anyone plans on buying it on release they'll probably have to take out a small loan of one million dollars.
I might skip this generation as my 970 is mostly managing at 1440p just now. Next time I upgrade i'll be getting a top end card able to breeze any VR systems\games.. maybe gtx 1180 ti.
As to my expectations, I expect it to be good ! not sure if it'll beat AMD's flagship, though I do look forward to all the reviews.
i expect it to still use NVidia`s awfully bugged drivers in windows 10 - all the while the 9xx range suddenly arn`t as quick as they were to make the 1xxx range seem faster when in reality for the price of a small car they are only a few %% quicker
The Law of diminshing returns will apply.
If the card is twice as good then at most it should be twice the price.
More likely for a modest percentage gain you pay a magnitude increase in the price.
1080Ti will need to be energy efficient to impress me, 980Ti is a beast according to today's standards.
