I bet it wont. I upgrade from iphone years ago. They have not innovated anything in ages.

It will have only one plug - usb-c and gotten rid of 3.5mm jack.. go apple, such innovation
Despite not filling up my phone with apps or media, keeping the OS up to date, turning off all the things that slow my phone down, and finally factory resetting, my iPhone 5C is so slow as to be borderline unusable. Not a conspiracy theorist but it's fairly plain that they find every little way to discourage you from keeping the phone so that you upgrade, and I no longer want to be party to that cycle or feel like I'm dependent on my phone. Strongly considering ditching in favour of a dumbphone soon, potentially permanently.
That's the only way to avoid it, Apple are arguably the best company when it comes to supporting older hardware (the 5c being basically a 5 which is 2012)
Btw, I've been using my second hand 5S for years, without any noticeably degrading performance.
This Article/Thread = Prime Apple bashing bait (not that i don't agree with a lot said)
I reckon he's talking about OLED screens, but even still that isn't a must have ffs. More battery life please, that's all I want now.
WOW!!!
The Messiah device .... gives world peace, stops hunger and famine, cures plague and pestilence, ends debt.

It still seems perverse to me that a company with a staggering revenue turnover and a profit that is still huge is expected to forever increase both, its just not possible.
Tech alone generally gets more affordable/cheaper over the years, ever increasing profit is unsustainable.
Anyone else think Tim Cook looks a lot like Lilly Savage these days?
Maybe that feature you can't live without is a drag queen detector lol.

big talk friend!
Hmm, I'll be interested to see what that game changing feature will be - one thing's for sure though - it'll be kept warm by a massive price to go with it. And no, I'm not Apple-bashing - I'm disgusted with the way that others, especially Samsung, have leapt onto the "premium pricing" bandwagon for their top end gear. I remember buying an S3 when it came out for just over £300, the S6 was heading towards double that.
I'm not a big fan of the "can't live without" hype either - sure, I use my phone as much as the next guy. But I could easily replace it with a combo of feature phone, sat nav and mp3 player, (I've already got a tablet I could use for the web, email and gaming). I can't help thinking though that Apple will be up against fierce competition in China - not only are they disadvantaged by their "premium" pricing - but the locals, (most of whom seem to offer pretty impressive products these days), can presumably play "home advantage" and appeal to their purchasers patriotism.
"We are going to give you things that you can’t live without, that you just don’t even know you need today… You will look back and wonder ‘how did I live without this?’"
Now where have I heard rubbish like this before? Oh yes, I remember, similar garbage from Microsoft about how it's going to change my life? Yes it did I now waste a lot of time communicating on a machine rather than with people! Money gone, life evaporated! Job done Apple and Microsoft, you now have the planet to yourselves or should I say what's left of it, good luck on finding a replacement/upgrade to planet earth b4 you are all dead lol!
There is also a lack of trying. We'll probably get "First smartphone thinner than a human hair" (to be fair that would be quite impressive.. not useful, but impressive) before one with a fortnight's battery life.
(A Zero Lemon battery can last about a fortnight on standby, but people are so used to thin phones now that everyone someone see my phone they think it's "huge".. even though it fits in my pocket fine).
Hey, if the phone supplied unlimited electricity, instant and free teleportation services or unlimited fresh water I reckon it would be pretty good.
Of course, I'd be surprised if the first place the tech arose was a telephone, but anyway - there's the requirement, Mr Cook.
It'll run windows 95 as the OS
