The Galax custom cooler looks rather bland.

What they were thinging when designing this box? It is make me NOT to buy it rather then to buy it.
On the other hand, card looks OK, simple, cause, it is in the case so as longs as it is quiet enough and works good, I do not care how it looks.

I assume this is simply to get to market at the lower price ASAP.

the previous reference cooler was far better in aesthetics. Am still waiting for the GTX 1080 NANO edition that can fit in a micro case.

Personally I don't mind the bland but cheaper cooler shroud as long as what's under is the same as on the reference one (ie vapour chamber etc) and it isn't any noisier.

I somewhat doubt lack of an artsy box will impact performance.
