Awesome, feel sorry for those who bought these DLC's though
at the half price and the promise of the free DLCs being trickled out over the next few months its a good time to buy the base games... I have BF4 premium and HL standard, so i'll benefit from the free DLC for HL... just got to remember to check every couple of weeks and get them during their (shortish) window of availability... good way to drum up a little more business (base games) and keep people focused on Battlefield and Origin in general. Clever bit of marketing this. As long as BF5 is good, this could pay dividends for EA etc
I have neither Battlefield game in my Origin library, but it turns out you can just "download" either DLC anyway. You'll get an order receipt in your mail, as you would when doing any other purchase on Origin, including getting "On the House" titles. I guess the free DLC will be waiting for you if and when you decide to get the base games.

yes you are correct, I'd realised that myself, so a good point to highlight.
So worth signing up to origin (if you haven't already) and getting all the freebies you can as they become available
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FREE IN THE FIRST PLACE, then more people, like myself, would have kept playing the game we had already paid £60 for
