Since so few reviewers bother to do proper reviews (run in closed cases after at least a 20 minutes burn-in time), they may not need to bother. Computerbase always do this after being caught out with Nvidia Boost 1.0 and because of this some people on AT's forums call them AMDBase. Some very partisan people on that forum.

See, I don't see why AIBs would sell better card for less until maybe a few months later. Since nobody sane (impatience must surely rank as some kind of insanity?) will F's Edition, initially custom card should demand a premium. Also, while we don't know when Nvidia gave the AIBs the design, chances are it was recent (one way to keep leaks down) so custom PCBs might take a while. The first custom cards are likely to be reference PCBs with better coolers.

It is very disappointing numbers really... all this new tech.. from 28nm to 16nm and barely even a leap over the old tech... i mean they are going to use 16nm for the next many years.

it is all 600-700-900 series all over again.

It's a huge leap. Compare the early 28nm cards to these ones.. it's very impressive. Even comparing the very latest 28nm mature process cards and they don't come close on performance for the same power band.

Now here in Switzerland (knowning that GTX 1080 FE is on preorder for 899CHF), GTX 1070 AIB will be at start probably closer to 450CHF(440USD) and hold till AMD comes to the play (Vega in December).
Greedy shops will probably have offer for 500CHF.
Read the full article, the MSRP on the 1070 is $449 with later AiB card estimated to go to $379, although looking at those numbers I think $379 might be in the US after rebate, you only have to look at the current 970 prices, the cheapest AiB's are only $40 cheaper than the MSRP so expecting $70 drop on the 1070 is probably rather optimistic.

...and yet to issue those DX12 charts!
Looking at the benchmarks, BF4 and GTA 5, my 980Ti (G1 gaming) that's a load of crap. I'm playing with everything at maximum and 4xAA so probably even higher than what they say and I run at 50 fps on average. And BF4 runs at 60 fps with some AA disabled. With every AA enabled the game drops in fps which is annoying.
