usually long enough to boot an os, load cpu-z and several other programs, get screenshots / photos. maybe push a cpu-z validation, or a futuremark run

5-10 mins, yah it is useless i know but it shows the endurance and flexibility of the used hardware.

For this sort of test Single Channel would be quicker I believe (I am sure I read somewhere that Dual Channel can have an adverse effect on certain applications performance).
