It's like there is inflation, reduced demand and increased manufacturing costs to contend with or something!

Except inflation is exceedingly low, and the cost per transistor is supposed to be not much improved to the old cards but this has fewer transistors than a 980ti on a board that leaks less heat so should be cheaper to cool.

That only seems to effect Nvidia.
The 1080 costs double the card it's replacing that's not even good value to start with.

We'll see - hopefully AMDs new cards will be price competitive compared to the current R7 and low R9 stack products.

If this is the way mid range graphics card pricing is going then I'll be finished with the PC as a gaming machine. I'll buy the beefed up PS4 or Xbox.

Midrange? It's the fastest GPU available.

If you look at the margins Nvidia have now, they are nearly double what they were a few years ago.

Maybe yields are bad? Maybe Nvidia will lower prices when competition arrives later in the year.

Which they need to be in a declining market.
Re: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards available in UK
If Nvidia want to make the market decline more maybe.
