I'll probably get it unless its performance is worse than R390. As someone who doesn't have as much time to game and has a 1080p setup powered by 3570K @4.4GHz, I can't justify spending much more to replace my aging GTX670. I would like to upgrade, at some stage, resolution (1440p) and to adaptive-sync monitor and will have to wait and see whether this will be viable with a RX480.
Linux drivers are also a concern but development of AMDGPU seems to be coming along nicely, with AMD more than delivering on their promises so far.
When you say 100% is that like 500 and 650 being the same number?
The cards are supposed to start at £160 in the UK apparently.
Are people really expecting Fury- GTX980Ti performance for £160 when Nvidia can barley better overclocked GTX980Ti performance for £650?
The question was:- How fast do you need the AMD Radeon RX 480 to be? Personally I took it to mean how fast do I need it to be to get me to upgrade and I am sure most others took it that way as well. I said it would need to be 980ti or more to be a worthwhile upgrade. I know it's not near that as the figures being banded around are between 970/980 performance and for me that's just not enough. Maybe when the more powerful cards come along later in the year.
The last two weeks has given me time to change my opinion of the card.
just show me a 900 dollar dual gpu card ill throw money at it soo quick
Question 1: From what?
Question 2: To what?
Surely you can give us more of a hint than that without breaking NDA
DX 12 is a different animal to older DX versions. This article explains it pretty well.

Never used any AMD Radeon cards before... might be a time to change
The power-saving could mean a smaller PSU, so cheaper to run could be a good thing. For me I'm more interested in longevity over just performance and without including the 'next gen' memory, I think that any GPU upgrade can wait for another year.
TBH a 400W to 500W PSU is more than enough for most of the current single GPU cards ATM. For OEMs though I suspect it will make AMD cards look more attractive.
Anyone notice Apple have chosen AMD Polaris in their new lineup for 2016?
