OCZ 750W -- was using their 550W but I needed more SATA power cables.

Wanted a smaller one, but went for quality instead.
As for 'upsizing' - I've managed to load it to just over 100W input, so...!

650W, never had a need for that much power but the fan hardly spins when drawing 300W so even gaming is nice and quiet.

Next hardware upgrade, I can see the CPU dropping from 125W to 65W and the graphics card from 190W to 150W, perhaps at that point I will go for a smaller case and an SFX or SFX-L psu.

Just bought a 500W SFX-L Silverstone unit for the wife's PC to improve the airflow in her rather cramped case.

Cooler Master V850. I would have gone for less but it's modular, 80+ gold and cost £80 or so as well as being reputable.

Re: QOTW: What capacity is the power supply in your main PC?

Currently a Seasonic made XFX 550w non modular, going to be replacing it with probably a modular Corsair RM650x just to tidy things up a bit, and because the cable sheathing is too thick on this PSU to the point where I can only have one sata connection at a time, or it bulges out the side of the case.

under the copper doughnut. there's supposed to be a capacitor or 2, all that was left is those burn marks and the white powder on the bigger thing.
the white plastic sleeve thing that's in there had a massive hole in it too.
killed a hard drive and dvd.

every thing fails at some point
Oh thanks Stevie! Thanks for that! *Browses Scan for new PSU*
