Or possibly you'll get product placement in the game promoting Sky products ?
There will be a bunch of grey suit lawyers trawling the universe for mention of "Sky" with anything that has a brand, and they will Cease and Desist them even if it is invalid claim. So if someone decides to launch a washing powder with the word Sky in it, they will be all over them.

How the #### did they even get the "right" to the word sky? Let me just copyright the following words then and become ultra rich:"skies, water, earth, sun, moon, weather, rain, snow, river, tree, green, orange, air, summer, city, star, etc..."
No. They don't "own" the word sky. They have a registered trademark, which means that they are the only company allowed to use the branding "Sky" in certain areas of business. Registration of trademarks is a fairly complex process (although not hugely expensive - to register a trademark in the UK costs £170 + £50 per additional "class" you want to use it in). If you really want to try to register any of those words as trademarks, you'll want to read https://www.gov.uk/how-to-register-a-trade-mark first, which will tell you how to go about it. Good luck

Well, it's trademarking, not copyright. If Sky was copyright, no-one else could use the word without breaching copyright. That's a whole different kettle of fish. But let's not cloud the issue, huh?

'Sky' had their lawyers get it removed because you must certainly have used the word 'Sky' without their permission

I wonder if the orange trademark is still held by EE?

Orange is still a brand owned by EE.... they use it on the pitch side boards at the Euro matches. EE seems to be mainly a UK thing
