I think I'll wait for the competition to heat up and some prices to drop. Not to mention the fact that I'm eagerly awaiting the reviews.
Noice
interested as the GTX 1070 looks like the obvious upgrade from the 970, and I'm still doubtful over Crossfire and SLI - perhaps a single card is the way to go...
Its an impressive card for £200, but while as you say US to Europe/UK prices are never an exact science, I've been pretty disappointed with the prices we've been receiving. May well be an early adopters tax though while supply of chips is short, who knows. I'd like to buy a 1070 or 490, but won't be at the current pricepoints (not that we know the 490's yet).
Looks like the plunge the GBP took on Friday is starting to show on prices...
I like how someone has already rated one a 1-star. I mean, seriously people?
Oh the joys of of an open feedback system...as far as I'm concerned if you haven't bought the item then you shouldn't be able to leave feedback for the item. And as for being able to leave feedback for something that hasn't been released well don't get me started.
Of course I'm perfect you just need to lower your expectations.
I think they may have taken that page down for the time being (at least, I can't find it)...
