What is the max read and write speeds of the current slots provided for SD cards? Will these cards be compatible with current slots and will the user benefit, or do we now have to get new devices with a "UFS" card slot to benefit from the extra bandwidth?

To be fair, these are much much faster than SD. A UHS-3 full-sized card found in cameras can write at 30MB/s.

Of course these will not be compatible. You will need new devices to take advantage of this format.

"A UHS-3 full-sized card found in cameras can write at 30MB/s." the U3 rating is based on a minimum write speed with a certain workload (similar to 256KB random writes). Some UHS-I cards can do the 90MB/s write, UHS-II cards can do over 200MB/s.
