Yeah, it was kinda crazy. I bought two EVGA FTW 850MHz 1GB models, the one that caused the row on some sites because it was used in launch reviews, but I was very happy at the time (good chunk cheaper, and faster, than the current top-end single card at the time). For some reason I went on a bit of a 460 benchmarking rampage though, bought all sorts of other versions (mostly used). Besides the SE or the 2GB editions (the latter of course were rebranded later as 560s), there was the SSE which still had 1GB RAM but a narrower bus. Irony was, the SSE could oc waaaay better than the normal 460 because it creates a lot less heat. I couldn't get my orig FTWs much over 900MHz, but the SSEs ran at 1GHz no problem, easily outperforming the FTWs despite the narrower bus.
But yes, you're right, the entire pricing expectation slope has moved upwards, by a lot.
