If that's more than £10 it'd be criminal.
With that level of branding I'd want an advertisers fee.
Website says it's HDMI 1.4...if that's correct that's a serious fail. I would've actually loved one of these, but what's the point in not making it future proof? Does HDMI 1.4 even support the 2160x1200 @ 90 fps of the Vive / Rift?

True there isn't a hdmi 2.0 cable as such all the old high speed cables are fine so by definition this should extend hdmi 2.0 easily enough.
I like the idea - and it is a pain crawling under the desk to plug in/unplug the rift when I want to use it...but I wouldn't spend £XX on one of these. If it was a way to add an additional HDMI port and additional USB3 ports, then it's worth considering - but since it really just plugs into the existing HDMI port on your card and provides an extension cable..its of limited use.
I might steal the idea though and order a HDMI extension cableAlready have 2xUSB3 ports on the front, so adding an extension cable makes a lot of sense!
I imagine this would set you back a pretty penny
Funny though, Most of the cases I've looked at buying recently don't even have a 5.25 bay anyway
I presume upcoming high-end cases will offer an HDMI extension built into the front of the case alongside the USB and audio ports.
Modding a chassis with a front HDMI port is relatively straightforward.
Below is an example of a panel mount HDMI connector, there are many similar connectors available and at lower cost. This particular connector has female connectors on both sides so it's a simple case of poking a 24mm hole in the front of your case, fitting the connector though it and running a regular HDMI cable to your graphics card.

Solution to a problem some users will find.
Not for me, as my PC sits sideways on the desk (ie window faces forward), so I can reach all my ports.
No-fuss, no-mess solution for those of us who aren't especially handy with a Dremel or don't have time to muck about, or don't want additional cables cluttering up our tidy builds.
Probably worth £15-20, but given how a blank 5.25" switch plate costs £10 I expect this will be at least £35.
However, title is misleading - I was rather hoping for something that actually boosted performance of low-end kit like mine to decent VR level... this is a cable extension, not a boosting device!!

as the man says- doesn`t actually boost anything at all- except the bank-accounts of those fleecing vrgins for every gullible penny they will spend on unneccessary hardware because they think it will make things `better`.
i say unneccessary because in the case of the vive, at least, there`s an extension lead so you don`t need to keep accessing the ports on the back of your machine.
i would be surprised if the rift doesn`t have a similar arrangement- and no, i can`t be arsed to google it.
