Looks like just those four. Refbot and that channel 5 one got dumped too. I'm not too bothered about sergeant bash, he never worked that well, but it's a shame that Killalot is back instead of being replaced with something a bit less silly looking.
On the brighter side, Jonathan Pearce is returning as commentator.

Glad to see Chaos 2 not competing, no offense intended, it was a great robot but flipping can get a bit boring to watch after a while, especially when your robot is that good at it, I'd much prefer to watch robots being smashed, crushed, squashed, and all those nasty things than flip, flip, flip, ohh it's stopped working.
Shame about the commentator, he always got on my wick, but I'm looking forward to this nonetheless - essential viewing in my younger days! I have endless admiration for the time, dedication and sheer ingenuity of all the roboteers.

Worth a watch, House Bots are four of the old school, Killalot, Matilda, Shunt, and Dead metal. New heavier weights are just ridiculous !
I wonder if they've also raised the weight limit of the participants.
I never looked at the rules, but I assume that there are limits otherwise someone could just build a big steamroller and crush everything
Or, in the spirit of the "robot" aspect, bring on of those in the arena

I looked into the rules many years ago when I was thinking of entering and there was a 100kg weight limit.
It will be interesting how they tackle the issues of Li-ion batteries as they don't like being crushed or heated >70°C. Will be good to watch them go up though!
Were li-ion not used / available back then? I could have sworn that they were available in laptops even back then.. as an expensive upgrade (or in top of the range model).
There's a robot wars wiki (of course) which claims a 110kg weight limit for robots, with 135kg for walkers
Sweet! I'm all over this
Can not wait. Been watching some recent battlebots to tide me over, some of them robots are awesome
