useless console ahaha wtf
"useless console ahaha wtf"
What a really odd post.
Probably the best looking XBox to date, although that's not saying much. Internal PSU is welcome.
Apart from that, it's still not compelling versus a PS4, nevermind a Neo.
Well the AV crowd are buying them up as 4k players... they'll get a free console with it
This would be my reason for getting it, but I'm not going to, cos I haven't got a 4k telly.
Is there any price announcement for the Neo? Would be interesting to see how they compare. I suspect Sony might just release a PS4 with Ultra HD blu-ray to compete with this until Neo is ready. Might be the reason they haven't released a 4k blu-ray standalone yet...
Don't worry because Nvidia and AMD are targeting gullible nu-generation "PC enthusiastz" with stupidly overpriced E-PEEN "its professional gamers card, innit mate??"" cards,I expect many of us might be joining our consoles overlords much sooner than expected.
Is there enough of 4K materiel (movies, TV shows,...) to invest now or it is better to wait till next year when the prices will go down, better technology and better 4K tellys (I am hoping to get LG OLED 4K 65") next year.
The more you live, less you die. More you play, more you die. Isn't it great.

Netflix and Amazon are doing 4k streams now. I've just bought an LG OLED telly and that will do native 4k streaming too.
What I'm wondering is do any of these 4K versions actually look meaningfully better at 4K rather than allowing your TV to upscale from 1080p? Have they re-mastered from 4K source material or is it just pre-upscaled and/or highly compressed streaming content with a token 4K resolution?
Anybody tried it?
Quite a nice console, even though I can't justify getting one as I have a PS4 with a 2TB HD now. The exclusives I'm interested in are on the PS4 for the time being too.
I think the price of the S will fall pretty quickly as there's no real point trying to keep the price high, when you can get a PS4 for £100 less and there will be the PS4 Neo coming out soon as well.
Quite the opposite really - they're targeting the aging PC gaming generation/newly affluent eastern gamers who have more disposable income than the PC gaming crowd historically used to, which they need to because the price they're asking the market to bear is (in Cat-the-fith's opinion, hence the nature of the post) high, thus pushing more budget oriented PC gamers to consider other gaming avenues such as the console in this news article.
I think it's too early to say - lets see how prices are once the new processes have matured and we're on second or third gen finfet products.
