Internet Archive adds 10,000 playable Amiga games

Think they are trying to get the AGA chipset on to the Vampire 2 board, price wise its pretty good compared to the price the Amiga accelerators can go for.

That accelerator is for the Amiga 600 only, bear that in mind and is quite expensive currently.

Ideally you need 2 Amigas, a 1200 for the AGA stuff and WHDLoad from a hard drive (Compact Flash), this will need an accelerator. You will also ideally need either a 500 with the expansion up to 1Mb or a 600 if you are wanting top play older stuff from discs.

I tend to use discs still and then use ReloKick to downgrade to kick 1.3 on my 600, there are quite a few games that won't work on the 1200 even with relokick

Sold my Amiga 1200, in 2007, when I moved in to a new flat and had to downsize.

It is slightly bizzare how much folk are charging for Amigas on ebay though! Wonder if I still actually have ours kicking around.

i nearly swallowed my teeth when i saw an a1200 on amazon uk, for a grand- but it is brand new..

fair comment- i didn`t see that bit, mainly because i was too busy trying to get the coco-pops out of my nostrils.
