That thing shouldn't even be classed as a laptop, it's more akin to the old school "mobile" briefcase computers of the 80's.
Ironically the most apt term would be desktop because that's the only place you could use it.
Curved screens provide zero actual realistic reasons to own over a standard screen. Try to find anything concrete with regards to benefits... .
At £1800 it doesn't sound like a bad deal at all to be honest, esp if that's for those specs mentioned! Gotta give respect to companies going all mad like this, it'd be a dry old industry if everyone stuck to the thin & light mantra.
As a desktop replacement I says why not, go nuts! :D
I guess you don't wear varifocals. I keep my side monitors angled toward me so as to reduce the difference in distance to the outer edges. If I am ever able to afford a 50" plus, 5760 pixel wide monitor to replace them, I would prefer it to be curved :)
Having said that, why put one on a laptop, the geometry just doesn't justify it on small screens?
