Hmmm. Quality of Saitek took a nose dive (pardon the pun) when mad catz bought them so hopefully Logitech can refocus on quality again? Be interesting to see how this affects the starcitizen peripherals they were developing as they where rumoured to be close and looked pretty nice. Its even more confusing there as they were doing a keyboard too...

Hope they don't have the Logitech 'premium' prices slapped on them...

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheesy as it may sound, I find I really get on with Logitech stuff. I've spent quite a bit of my hard-earned messing about with other manufacturers' stuff, before giving Logi a token tryout and ended up falling in love.
APEM/CH Products have chosen not to enter the arena with new kit, since the appropriate market bands are already covered between Saitek and Thrustmaster... but since Saitek are dropping the ball so much, I'm glad Logi have stepped up.
I'm hoping for something like the G940, but better!!

They may have looked nice, but they were nothing more than rehashes of existing MadCatz products, all of which I've tried and found to be flimsy junk... especially that S.T.R.I.K.E™ keyboard thing!!

It was promised this wasn't the case but hey who knows. I doubt we'll ever find out now...

I too am really pleased
Mad Katz utterly ruined what had been THE GO TOO joystick brand
truly good news
Re: Logitech acquires Saitek with an eye on simulation games and VR
Here's hoping that Logitech can find some value in the absolute junk that Saitek produces. It's only a "go-to" product because it's the only budget offering worth looking at. But it's bad quality, with even worse drivers and software support.

I want to see Microsoft back in the game. I've got a Sidewinder 2 Force Feedback joystick that I'm still using for Elite, but some of the buttons are beginning to fail to register.
15 years ago you couldn't move for joysticks. Now the choice is pretty poor.
