I wonder if the surface starts flaking and peeling off after a few months like the original...
Razer deathadder common issue;, Broken buttons after 2 months, The side textured thumb rest peels off, Firmware bug, mousewheel starts screeching, The bloated Razer Synapse software (wonderful piece of crap that is). ... Death what,,, more like Razer let it die mouse. I would never buy again. I've had 4 over a span of 10 months.
That's the imperator. Well, it's kinda the imperator. The imperator was a MUCH better mouse with a perfect grip, with the exact right amount of buttons. I had 2 of em. Both broke (because Razer), and had to buy the POS that is the DeathAdder.
They've basically dropped the imperator and added 2 buttons to the Deathadder, probably to reduce costs.
I was forced into the Deathadder after the second imperator died, I never woulda got it if I had a choice. From day 1 it had a squeaky wheel and buttons that don't sit right. And the grip is just slightly off. It's the worst performance mouse I've ever used.
Oh and tried to contact Razer a ton of times about getting it replaced (the original retailer shut down) and they never once replied.
I must be in the minority..I have a Deathadder Chroma 2014 and i'm really happy with it, it's one of the nicest mice i've owned.
No problems with durability, very, very comfortable for my hand size, nice and responsive...no problems with it for the money. I'd happily buy another but i've no need to at the moment

I wonder if it can handle an actual gamer... stopped buying razer whenn their products would only last like 3 months before the buttons getting worn down or starting to double click on single click.
To me, Razer mice always feel like thin, cheap, delicate plastic...
A lot of people like lightweight mice. The fact the Deathadder is made of plastic and lightweight is a big plus for me.
I've own 3 Deathadders over the years and they're still going strong today. I've tried many other makes/models but none are as comfy as my Deathadder.
