    I have the B150M Mortar but this won't make any difference to me because I'm not interested in Kaby Lake.

    Make's sense. I do not see why any H110 B150 H170 or Z170 board wouldn't support Kaby lake without doing a BIOS update. After all Sandy Bridge motherboards worked with Ivy Bridge with BIOS update, and Haswell boards worked with broadwell with a BIOS update. If any of the companies do not support Kaby Lake on the 100 chipset boards, they are just being lazy and not caring about their customer.
