Directory Opus was awesome... but see no real need to pay for something that is perfectly adequate

Directory Opus still is awesome, and I personally guarantee (not really) that anyone who downloads the trial will end up buying it.
The Light version (perfectly fine for most) was available for a couple of pounds in a Humble Bundle a year or so back.
Genuine question: What's the actual point in this other than nostalgia?
Absolutely, it's not like they open sourced something important like Solitaire or Minesweeper.
Good to see a mention of Directory Opus. I can't say I use it, but I'm really pleased they're still going
Just seeing that screen shot took me back a bit. lol. Only addition that I have and find very useful at times compared to the native explorer in my Win7 ( Sorry , don't want that Win10 garbage on any of my PC's ) is a free little program called " QDir ". This is a four pane viewer with great control and has been a blessing when shuffling files between different partitions , drives and external drives, love it.
It's a great method of learning for developers! Nothing beats having actual decent source code to trawl through. Far better than attempting to follow any kind of tutorial.
Another Directory Opus user here, since the original Amiga version no less.
File Managers are great when you copy/move a lot of files regularly.

I still call it File Manager, since so many people get confused between Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer...
