I had no idea Razer were that big and rich... or that THX was so small and cheap...!!

So, green accent LEDs to surface on all cinemas, along with thin, flimsy-feeling seats?
"Made by cinema audiences, for cinema audiences"?

THX with it's reputation for quality engineering now owned by Razer, with it's reputation for LEDs and gimmicks.

I feel like my THX equipment has just lost a lot of it's value (or perhaps they'll become collectors, from the good old days)

Same here, I'm very surprised on both counts.

Well done to anyone who predicted it!
Likewise did not believe Razer were that big.

I miss the old film intros they did, it made everyone shut up before the film and absorbed you into the screen.

Re: Razer acquires renowned audio technology company THX

Expecting much lower THX quality in the future... in general Razer products are not relieable enough as it is and quality vs price it has gone way down the hill the last 10 years.

Once upon a day you could expect their products to last for long, but not anymore especially their mice can not take the punishment before they start to malfunction.

Yay... only Razer could apply that nasty, cheap, plasticky feel to audio.

THX is small and cheap, they were sold off by Lucas ages ago, then bought by Creative Labs and then dumped by them later on, now bought by Razer.

Hopefully they can do something good with it.

Re: Razer acquires renowned audio technology company THX

In the last decade or so I've associated the brand as a token badge on slightly-more-expensive audio equipment.

What do THX as a company actually do now? Sell expensive stickers?
