Re: QOTW: Which of your devices has the highest resolution display?
I recently purchased a Philips 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 32" IPS monitor. Amazingly, what I have learned through this is that even in Windows 10, Windows scaling is terrible in most applications. Hard to believe that in 2016, Windows is still horrible at high resolutions.
My last monitor was an HP 30" 2560 x 1600, which is the sweet-spot for Windows, as you don't need to scale at that size/resolution.
So, yeah, my highest resolution display is on a Windows 10 PC, but as of right now, it's somewhat wasted in Windows.

I have 2 24" UHD monitors and scaling works perfectly (currently 125%), that on windows 10 too.

*switch* *click* *clunk* *BZZZZzzzz!*
Funnily enough, the highest resolution display I have is this huge, beige iiyama CRT that still straddles my desk next to my primary display (a Dell LCD).
iiyama 18" CRT - 2048 x 1536
Dell 24" LCD - 1920 x 1080
Smartphone - 1920 x 1080
Ancient laptop - 1440 x 900 (still better than most laptops on sale today)

Re: QOTW: Which of your devices has the highest resolution display?
For me personally, it's my 2560*1440 Dell U2711 - followed by my 1920*1200 Nexus 7, FHD Xperia Z2 and 1280*800 ThinkPad X201. In my household, it would be my GF's 3200*1800 Yoga 2 Pro, and her Galaxy S7 tied with her Dell U2713HM.
I doubt we'll go past that until we replace our TV sometime in the distant future or if she needs a 4k monitor for video editing. 2560*1440 @27" is perfect for me, although I'd like a 34" 21:9 3440*1440 monitor at some point. Same height, same DPI, just wider (and thus more immersive).

If it's a Shield portable, it's 720p. If it's a Shield tablet, it's 1920*1200.

Given that it's a PenTile S-AMOLED display, I'd say 2560*1440 is "necessary". It's actual (sub)pixel density is around that of a similarly sized FHD LCD.
