...More interested in how thin/light laptops will get with this card baked in.
What kind of rubbish 750ti hits 1085MHz? Mine's consistently holding 1241MHz in furmark as I type this. It'll be interesting to see how far the 1050 goes beyond the 1455MHz figure, a ~20% performance improvement over 2 generations is pretty poor (mine cost ~£120 new, so I'm not comparing 750ti Vs 1050ti)
Looks like Samsung is making the GPU:

14nm... interesting... VERY interesting!
What I/we were thinking about 14nm GloFo/SS vs 16nm TSMC power/clock characteristics could be true, and could give yet further credence to the possibility of AMD using TSMC's 16nm for a higher-end GPU.
The 1050 having much lower clocks than the rest of the Pascal line also reinforces this. It's still a bit higher than Polaris, but Maxwell was higher-clocking on the same node as AMD to start with so that's not a big surprise, and it's only marginally higher when compared with the 16nm parts.

From that article:
Called it And you can guarantee that those overclocked cards will demand a reasonable premium over the MRSP....I say “starts” because NVIDIA will be allowing partners to sell factory overclocked cards, and these cards will feature a higher TDP and an external power connector in order to meet the card’s power needs. ...
If this goes over the 75W slot limit, will we see as much fuss as when the 480 did?
It kind of explains why the GTX1050 and GXT1050TI are now 75W TDP products instead of 60W TDP products like the GTX750 and GTX750TI.
Fingers crossed for a compact version of the 750ti with no external power connector
