Re: Nvidia posts "record revenue, record margins, record earnings"

Can I just check that I've not suddenly lost a year of my life in an Adam Sandler Click style and we're in 2017?

How can a company release a year in advance financials unless they're projected? Or is this quite a fairly large spelling mistake?

2017 will be the year they pay their taxes to the government, so it should really read as 2016-2017 tax year.

Unfortunately they have no competition. They could charge 20% more and people would still buy them.

Apparently according to forums, all the costs have gone up so they need to charge more money. LMAO.

I called it years ago when the first Titan was launched.

Good on Nvidia personally. Hopefully when AMD get its arse into gear, they can follow suit!

I wonder if people will now shut up about Microsoft,Dell,Unilever, etc all doing price increases due to currency fluctuations - oh noes! Horrible companies.

Should have poured 10k into Nvidia stock yesterday. I'd be $2500 richer today.

Doesn't really make sense though, does it? If they sell more GPUs at a lower cost - all things being equal - their revenue would be the same.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Just wish AMD would come out with some comparible high end GPU's, if only to add healthty competition back into the market and help to lower the prices.

How fast do you think Vega will be, out of interest?

There's 2 answers to this. So it depends who answers.

    • AMD Fan --- Faster than a 1080Ti. Cheaper. Will work even better in the future.
Nvidia Fan --- It will look great on paper, actually not as fast as a 1080Ti, not that much cheaper & no idea when it will even be out

For my 2p. If you are keen to buy one, wait until people have actual cards in their hands and then listen to the real data / reviews / comparisons. Hopefully it will be very fast and very cheap.
