With new releases arriving at a frantic pace, are you inclined to keep up or sit back?
As I haven't played any recently released games I haven't updated the drivers since I installed a new nVidia 960 GTX card a few months back- probably ought to, but it tends to be one of those 'defrosting the freezer' type jobs that get put off for another day...
I update them on and off - I subscribe to the "if its not broke don't fix it" way of driver updates.
I try and keep on top of driver updates but generally will only update if a game I'm playing/want to play has been fixed or performance has been upgraded.
As soon as they're released.
Twice a year.
Usually I upgrade as soon as a new one is released, however with recent issues with some Nvidia drivers I tend to have a quick look on reddit to see what people are saying about them first now.
As soon as they are released!
one or two week after their released so i can see if there is any bugs in them from looking on some of the forums.
Even some of my older games, like Mass Effect, won't actually load up and instead flag that I need to update my drivers... that surprised me!!
I generally see that an update is ready, look in here for a few days to follow the "Nvidia must die" threads and update once people report that whatever was broked & borked is now good to go.
With the recent nVidia bungles and the shady bull honky, I'm on board with CAT; leave well enough alone.
As soon as they are released
Whenever they're released.
Not being a gamer, I really dont care, as long as I can edit my images and movies :)
As soon as released.
10 years ago > whenever released.
Now, maybe every 6 months or so. If you don`t play a just released game on day one, with a gfx card only released a month ago, then you are unlikely to have problems.
