Displayport 1.4 yet?
Maybe next year will be my first monitor upgrade since 2009....
Looks promising, but as a gamer who isn't made of money, I would rather stick to good old fashioned 1080p 60fps for the foreseeable future, to get a longer lifespan out of the performance of the rest of my hardware!
Look... Stop hiding all of the nice toys behind high prices. We ALL know that these companies could share the awesome but, instead, we're fed crappy low price screens. When will the madness stop?
LG haven't exactly given much detail in this press release. Will have to wait 'til CES I guess.
With DP 1.4, very high refresh rates, high resolution & HDR combined is possible - but I've only seen 1 monitor with such a connection so far and it doesn't utilize the bandwidth available at all... :shocked2:
Edit: The monitor mentioned is the BenQ SW320 which at least has a 10-bit panel.
