A life's purpose.
Failing that, a new monitor.
there was a bunch of really cheap nearly out of BBE date fruit/veg at Tesco last night.
dad got 10 bags mixed carrot/peas for 5p for 500g and some sprouts all BBE 22nd dec.
what I'm hoping to get is the bag of oranges for 10p but i'll probably end up with a bag of sprouts.
btw. we've given up on proper Christmas and birthdays in our house. I am genuinely hoping for the oranges :D
working all the way thru so you lot can have a nice xmas ..lol
so not bothered ..
but come jan/feb zen and vega will be coming to my house .. :)
having now reached the point in my life where socks and pants would be received gratefully, i tend to be given computer-orientated things.
when i was younger (etc, etc) pants (grumble grumble) socks (bloody bloody) gizmos- nada.
the inverse square law of presents.
merry christmas.
...a working Steam service?
Thanks Phantom squad, good job there guys.
Kate Bush Live in London on Vinyl :D
A working cooker - ours exploded this evening. Nowhere carries stock, not John Lewis, not CostCo, not Currys. It could be interesting catering for 7 people with only a microwave and a BBQ if I can't get one from a local independent retailer tomorrow.:rant::rant:
Maybe a Withings Avitvite/Kinetic type Watch.. although I've barely talked about so I doubt I'll get it.
I'm at that point of my life where I don't wish for anything for Christmas ...apart from having a good time with my family.
Stuff I want I usually buy myself when I find it at a good price.
Car mats for the car
I'm hoping not to get Zika. Does that count?
Any graphics card enough to play Bioshock Infinite. That's all I ask this Christmas.
an iiyama g-master 4k monitor
After having worked in a shop for the last 2 years, and having heard effing Christmas 'music' (i.e. performing artists persuaded by their accountants to release a Christmas song for the sake of their pensions) for the last 2 months, my ideal present would be to go back in time and elect King Herod as President and Leader of the Free World.
I have got a blu-ray film, and I am happy with that. My "present" this year is seeing the kids open theirs.
A years subscriptions to a VPN service to protect me from my own government.
Beer and bourbon would be nice.
A flux capacitor.
Just food, drink and company
Yup. Hiding.Quote:

What I'd really like? An end to the overly-commercialed modern rigmarole and palaver that is what we now get for Christmas and a return to something far simply and less Bacchanalian, and FAR less comnercial, where the spirit was really one of giving, not receiving.
And, while I'm at it, world peace, a cure for cancer and the moon on a stick. ;) :D
I picked up the things I wanted during the year, the only thing I specifically got for Christmas is a new bottle of whisky. What I want, and will get, is the chance to spend some time with the Mrs, listen to some music (finally got my Hifi sorted), spend some time in the garage practising my air pistol target shooting.
Hmm, I do not really do Christmas per se, but I've bought myself new snow sport jackets and pants. I would've bought them Christmas or not since I will need them for the next few months. The pleasant surprise is that the price of the products I needed hasn't been adjusted for the weaker pound, and as a result, for the first time, the items I've bought here is actually -cheaper- than if I was to buy it in Japan by about £100, or nearly 20% (in the past, it was close to parity) and US/Canada (not by much but they are usually much cheaper). Official RRP anyway. Yay Brexit? Well, happy holidays :D
I'd love a Leica Monochrom, but I know I wont be getting one so I'll settle for some socks :)
My health back. I have everything I need - Sally :)
Nothing really, I am glad just to wake up each day in decent health!
