Definitely interested, I got a Wii U last year and it is a great little machine with some nice games, will probably end up getting this one round my birthday in July
Its kind of amazing to me this is the sort of thing nintendo are releasing in 2017. 3 hours battery life and somehow less power and lower res than the cheapest chinese tablet you could possibly find.
Like, how is it possible they have made a tablet that thick, that underpowered with that little battery life?
Too expensive for the spec of hardware.
Xbox One S 1TB with games is less, PS4 Slim 1TB with several games is around the same price, PS4 Pro is like £60 quid more.
Too expensive when viewed as a handheld device (and too big to be considered a handheld portable gaming device).
Needed to be closer to £150 i think to appeal, part of the success of the Wii came not only from offering a different experience but being a good price compared to the other consoles (Yes it was well down on computing power on the rivals but you weren't paying anywhere near the same money as the MS and Sony rivals).
Its way to expensive for what is essentially a shield tablet with nintendo branding.
Too much. £200 or less and I might have been tempted but that's in the 'once in a couple of years special treat' price range. I'd rather get a new CPU/MB for that amount.
Hope Nintendo keep bringing out the quirky hardware, makes a change from the generic mini-PC consoles from the other two players but... it's too expensive. My Xiaomi MiPad is (I think) more powerful & with a 'retina' display.
They may not have too much choice in the pricing given components and the weak £.
I'm hoping the Wii U falls enough to warrant a buy.
Looks pretty darn expensive to play mario/zelda...
Agree with previous comments, the price point is wrong, should be sub £200 to even compete.
How much @_@ £279.99. Given then hardware I would say £199 was a fair price point. You can get a PS4 with 500GB for £217 at Amazon. even if the switch came with a Free game at £279 would be ok. I think i'll wait a few months.
Hand a joycon to a family member and share the joy - cringe :)
Double disappointment - 1) not a system worth getting for me; 2) not a system worth getting for most other folk and so will have no effect on pricing of PS4 Pro.

Ah Mario Kart, you always draw me in.
The price is a bit steep in my opinion. Sure, £20 of that is Brexit-effect (in fact it looks like Nintendo are swallowing another £20 on top of that), but PS4S/XB1S are cheaper and more powerful (albeit not mobile).
I'm not sold on the mobility aspects, apart from chucking it in the car for a long journey if you have offspring to entertain.
OTOH Zelda, Kart, Super Mario - these will sell devices for sure, but it won't create a big new generation of fans.
