I'm rooting for the Red team - demo's and hype aside I can't wait to see the real world reviews of Ryzen and Vega. Time for a new red team build? Time will tell!
Vega is Q2 isn't on time according to this chart, that would put it ~6 months behind the original launch schedule they told us, or to put it another way ~ 2 years since their last high end product, and a over a year since Nvidia's high end product. I'm looking forward too it, but my original estimate based on that chart was Dec '16 / Jan '17, then that was revised to end of March '17, now it's looking like end of June '17...is it just me?

So is this result good news or bad news for AMD? It seems like they are on recovery path, but still not there.

Simple as this: if Zen architecture and Vega prove to be successes and people are happy paying the amounts they are priced at? AMD is back. Else? Tough times ahead. But I'm no expert.Quote:

Really? I don't personally know anyone with a G-sync monitor, and that includes someone with an SLI 1080 setup and one whose 970 drives a rather nice 1440p monitor so it isn't just that my friends and associates are paupers :DQuote:

Suspect that's right. I've just done a run through of Witcher 3 on my 4 year old GTX680 in 1440p, low settings but it looked great and played well. Drop to 1080 and I'm sure medium settings would have been achievable.Quote:

Yeah AMD are late, they know it, the fanboys know it and it's a big shame. However they are experts at playing the game and never gave anything concrete until recently. They showed ambiguous graphs, they gave high level impressions, they hinted, then finally they say "H1 2017". So even though we finally get a "date" it's still one that consists of a 6 month range and noone's in any doubt it won't be until at least May !!Quote:
