Meh... the gameplay is okay, but everything else is terrible. Think Angry Joe summed it up pretty nicely in his review. The delay of the DX12 version is also embarrassing, considering this title was heavily promoted in that direction. But the in-game purchases are definitely 100% unacceptable. Not gonna buy a full-price game with in-game purchases, ever.

I am still lost as to the benefit of dx12? Alot of games state that there are no visual differences yet dx12 is slower in some instances.

    If I am getting 60fps @1080 then why do I need dx12?.

If it enables better frame rates at higher resolutions say 4k that's great. Seems quite underwhelming.

Re: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided gets beta DirectX 12 support

With the prior Crimson Driver and DX12 I was getting :

    Minimum : 26
    Maximum : 53
    Average : 42

With the new Crimson Driver same settings and DX12 :

    Minimum : 30
    Maximum : 60
    Average : 48

So a slight benefit and I noticed that the slight hitching I was getting on the benchmark has stopped.

It alleviates an amount of CPU strain. At 1080p with an high-IPC CPU, you won't find many games that tax the CPU....run at 1600p or 4k with 2 or 3 cards or use an APU and suddenly you can find your CPU at 100% in some games, bottle-necking performance. This is the main plus-point of DX12.....although there are some new features also available to programmers that can aid performance gains for all hardware.

DX12 is still in it's infancy and I've yet to see much evidence to prove the theory....in fact all it has done so far (IMO) is muddy the waters, it's getting to the point where I am starting to compare AMD and nVidia benchmarks by comparing nVidias DX11 performance to AMDs DX12 performance.......I'm struggling to think of a DX12 title I have that has greater visual fidelity in DX12 over 11.....

Is that all at stock speed? Did you noticed if the PCU overhead went down?

Yeah, that is all at stock except the factory overclock on the 380, wasn't looking at anything other than fps

Will wait till AMD manage to put out a WHQL driver, their beta drivers have way too many issues.

A bit late to the party...

this was a terrible game. There were no boss fights and I am at level 14 already. I have now abandoned it and won't be finishing it. The first one was much better
