We're going to cringe at this when liquid helium is worth more than gold by weight.

I totally agree, and personally I would rather see real world overclocking scores by using water cooling or similar.

If you're going to use helium at least find a way to do it closed loop rather than boiling it off to the atmosphere.

This has actually put me off ASUS

I guess liquid hydrogen is a bit scary, specially if you are working next to the guy using liquid oxygen

But agreed, most "world records" are a waste of time and effort when it comes down to it, but resources seems beyond a line.

What an utter waist of time and money, I could beat that ! just fly me into orbit and in the vacume of space I'm sure I could get better results using a fan............ and one day this stupidity might come to that :S

I'm much more intrested on what you can get using stock coolers in the real world 24/7 not simply for 30 mins.

I have to agree, this just seems like a huge waste, as most overclocking records do these days.

Much more interesting is overclocking on stock and third party air coolers that can be stable 24/7, as it would be much more accessible to a larger variety of people to be able to be able to replicate themselves (and safely too).
